Update: Victim identified in Friday night crash in Cortlandville

One driver was killed in a two-car accident in Cortland County Friday night.

The crash happened at about 11:30 along Route 13 near the intersection with Starr Road.

Investigators say a taxi driven by Richard Bennett, Jr. was rear-ended at the intersection. He died from his injuries.

The driver of the other car, along with a passenger, both escaped injury.

The investigation continues into the crash, but still no word on any tickets or charges that have been filed.
