One of Tompkins County’s banner walkways is set to reopen just in time for the holiday weekend.

Finger Lakes State Parks Director Fred Bonn says they’re reopening the upper gorge trail around Lucifer Falls in Robert Treman State Park.

Severe flooding in early August of 2013 tore the walls of bridges and ruined steps on the trail, leaving debris in its aftermath.

Bonn says a lot of hard work went into getting this open in about a years span, and commends the work of the stone masons.
