Report: Moreland Commission spent over $350k

A commission looking into corruption in state government spent over $350,000 in a nine month period.

Capital New York reports that the Moreland Commission used the money for a number of expenses, including travel, I-T needs and analysis of data.

Governor Cuomo this week defended himself about his administration’s involvement in the commission, and against allegations that his aides interfered with the commission’s look into groups with ties to the governor.

Capital reports that the biggest payment was made in May to K2 Intelligence Services for “research and analysis.” That payment was for $175,000.
