An Ovid woman faces a grand larceny charge for allegedly stealing money from an elderly woman she worked for as a home health aide in the City of Ithaca.

24 year old Stacey Courtright turned herself into police Wednesday after an audit of the Ithaca woman’s bank account revealed Courtight cashed a total of 16 checks valued at $4,000.

Police say Courtright forged the woman’s signature.

Courtright was arraigned in Ithaca City Court on a felony grand larceny charge and was released on her own recognizance.
