IC Grad reflects on Boston Marathon bombings

Photo: WHCU

It’s been one year since the bombings at the finish line of the Boston Marathon, and one man with local ties is recalling his experience.

Chris Lotsbom was an Ithaca College student at the time working in the media tent at the race.

He says not a day goes by where he doesn’t think about it, calling it a ‘blur’, while still having trouble figuring out how it all happened.

Lotsbom returned to his family later that night in Walpole, Massachusetts and made the decision to return to IC the following day.

He says it was a return to normalcy that would help him cope with the experience, and will return to cover the race again this year.
