Elderly woman hospitalized after rolling car over

An elderly woman was rescued Friday after her car crashed into two parked cars and rolled onto its side on College Avenue in Ithaca.

The call came in around noon for the accident near the intersection with Mitchell Street when Police, ambulance and fire crews found the car on its side in the middle of the street with the woman still inside.

Ithaca Firefighters had to cut the car’s windshield to get the driver out.

The woman was taken to Cayuga Medical Center for minor injuries.

The investigation into the accident continues.
