Commons rebuild picking up the pace

Fall is on the way and so is the end of construction season, which means time is running out to complete the Ithaca Commons rebuild.

Project Manager Michael Kuo says at this point, it will be difficult to finish the project by the scheduled end date in mid-November. However, a significant amount could be finished.

For example, the resurfacing of Bank Alley and building the framework of the new Bernie Milton Pavilion.

Resurfacing of the Commons began recently, but Kuo says work may continue into 2015.

He’s asked contractors to pick up the pace with roughly 3 months of construction season left in 2014.
