At least one injured in head-on crash in Dryden

One person was hospitalized following a two car head on collision in the Town of Dryden Wednesday.

The Tompkins County Sheriff’s Office responded to the accident at the intersection of Main Street and Sherbore Drive.

One of the unidentified victims had to be airlifted to an area hospital, but bad weather prevented the chopper from flying, so the patient was transported to Upstate Medical Center in Syracuse by Dryden Ambulance.

Investigators have released few details other than that one of the cars failed to keep right and crossed into the oncoming lane, causing the cars to collide head on.
